ADL Update

Dr. Bill Blackmon - Chief Technical Officer, Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative

The presentation will cover SCORM standardisation, S1000D, DITA, LETSI and CORDRA. In particular, it will provide an overview of the status of the latest version of the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM 2004), the relationship between SCORM and the S1000D and DITA structured content formats, recent efforts to standardise SCORM, and the implications that standardisation may have on the specifications that comprise SCORM. The session will also be an opportunity to find out about ADL involvement in LETSI (Learning-Education-Training Systems Interoperability): an international non-profit federation dedicated to promoting eLearning and to enabling innovation in learning technologies. The documentation and implementation status of CORDRA (Content Object Repository Discovery and Registration Architecture) will also be covered. This will be an intensive but rewarding lunchtime workshop.
